Would you like to live for a few months in Italy, Austria or Germany, soaking up the culture, enhancing your language skills and learning about the attitudes and policies that contribute to the GMO debate between the US and Europe?
This program allows you to do just that . . . and it provides the money to pay for both your living expenses and your language training while you are there. Western Europe, the most popular tourist destination in the world, awaits you. Complete your semester-long exchange program with one of the following partner institutions:
- University of Udine in Udine, Italy
Located in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, the area is known for its snow-capped mountains, sandy beaches and world-class white wines. Historic Udine, only an hour from Venice, is a beautiful city studded with piazzas, cobbled streets and frescos. The University of Udine has around 17,000 students and faculty in agriculture, economics, engineering, law, foreign languages, education,humanities, medicine and surgery, veterinary science and mathematical, physical and natural sciences.
- BOKU University in Vienna, Austria
Vienna, often described as Europe's cultural capital, was home to the Hapsburg dynasty and is the gateway to much of central Europe. A thriving metropolis, Vienna has historically been the home of the world's most famous artists, composers and musicians. BOKU University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences has about 5000 students and focuses on the sustainable use of renewable resources.
- Hohenheim University in Stuttgart, Germany
Set in a lush valley of the Swabian Mountains ringed with vineyards and thick forests, Stuttgart may be the greenest city in Europe. Located in southern Germany at the edge of the Black Forest, Stuttgart is a welcoming city with a myriad of shops, cafes, parks and museums. Hohenheim University has a unique campus situated around a 200-year-old castle. With 5,200 students, Hohenheim is a leading university the natural and economic sciences.
